The in-room dining experience was lovely and had a sense of occasion with the way all the plates were beautifully prepared and laid out, and the food was very tasty and exciting to try (adventurous palates recommended!). The service was excellent: the staff were helpful and enthusiastic, and I was able to communicate well with very basic-level Japanese as they could understand and speak a lot of English. The onsen was fantastic - I was lucky enough to be visiting while it was snowing, and sitting in the hot water while snow trickled down around me was something very special. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus at multiple different times per day to and from Noboribetsu station - it was very easy to arrange and super helpful, although if you are planning to spend your last day exploring the town (a 5-10 minute walk to the 7-eleven), you might have to find another way, as the last available time for me was 10:50am. Overall, staying here was a wonderful cultural experience in a beautiful location that I would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you Kashoutei Hanaya

Love this small but humble Japanese inn! Wished I could stay more than a night to soak more in the onsen and enjoy their Kaiseki meals. The inn basically has everything that a Japanese inn should have and the staffs are very attentive to you. Free flow alcohol up till 5pm and free cold milk till 9pm. Hokkaido's milk is definitely one of the best! They also provide free shuttle bus from JR Noboribetsu station (around 10-15mins drive to their Inn) so make sure to communicate with them early. If you're planning to visit Noboribetsu, suggest to stay at least 1 night to enjoy the onsen. Probably it will be more enjoyable on a cooler weather, but we visited in Summer and it was still great as Noboribetsu area tend to be cooler.

This hotel is amazing! If you are interested in experiencing the traditional Japanese culture, definitely gonna go to check out. Even though the hotel itself turns out to be a little “small”, but it’s very delicate and decent. The staff are very nice and friendly to provide everything you need. Besides, the food is so delicious, be sure to have a taste of the delicious and delicate food! The hotel itself has shuttle bus travel back and forth of Noboribetsu station and the hotel, also you can take the shuttle bus from the hotel to the Jikoku Dali (Hell Valley). Also, the staff would provide you a tourist map which could provide any information you need! This definitely gonna be the best hotel during my stay in Hokkaido!

The staff were amazing! Everyone was so nice from the welcoming at the shuttle service at the train station and on to every staff member I met. Always accommodating and nice. The hotel itself was beautiful and so were the surroundings and all facilities. You get traditional clothes to walk around in, no shoes inside the hotel so slippers or socks and the floor is heated. The onsen and public showers are great. I went twice and it wasn't busy both times I went. The dinner and breakfast were just so tasty. I had so many different dishes and I enjoyed all of them. It's a traditional setting in your room and just fantastic. The walk to hells valley is not far, I even got a ride up to there. I Recommend this place very much.

It is a very nice traditional style ryokan with its own onsen. We had a Japanese style room with dinner and breakfast in the room. The ryokan had everything we were hoping for in our first experience. There are two onsens per gender, one inside and one outdoors. It is very nicely organized and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We read the reviews about not so good location but no. Bus stop is 2 min from there. The village and he'll valley walk 15 min stroll. So everything is easily accessible and hassle free. We also used the shuttle service on the way up from Noboribetsu Station. Everything was calming and relaxing. Just like an onsen should be.
